§ 02 / the problem
Operations ran on five spreadsheets.
Every team had its own sheet. Sales had one, fulfillment had another, accounting had a third, and the numbers rarely agreed by the end of the week. Each spreadsheet was technically a backup of the previous one, which meant the latest version depended entirely on who'd opened it last. Leadership was making decisions on data that was three days stale on a good day.
§ 03 / our approach
One source of truth, shared everywhere.
We scoped the smallest tool that could do the job: a web app with role-based views over a single Postgres database on Supabase. Every team reads from the same data and writes back to it, so there is no more reconciliation. We cut scope aggressively — no mobile app, no custom dashboards, no reporting engine — so the core flow could ship in weeks instead of months. Phase two can come later, once it earns its way in.
